With over 225 shops, Potomac Mills Mall is the largest outlet mall in Virginia and a top tourist attraction. Retailers and restaurants have popped up nearby, but one is an absolute standout: Epiq Food Hall.
About Epiq Food Hall
Named to reflect its proprietors’ epicurean interests and sometimes stylized as “epiQ,” Epiq Food Hall is the result of a partnership of a dozen distinct restaurants in one unique setting. In basest terms, it’s a giant, upscale food court!
The space itself is huge, about 13,000 square feet. From the entrance, shops are arranged in an inverted U. I found it easy to follow the shape of the room, browse each shop’s menu, and get a good sense of what my choices were before deciding.
Diners can choose from casual seating near the entrance, including bean bags and brightly-colored chairs with unique shapes. Traditional tables and some booth-backed seating can be found in the center of the food hall. Some bar-height tables can be found toward the back of the hall and a proper bar is also available up front.
The most appealing seating is located in the very back of the hall, where traditional tables overlook the entire restaurant from the second floor.
Epiq features live music several nights a week and plans to expand its outdoor seating and establish a beer garden.

My Experience
I ordered the chicken and waffles from Southern Flare. This is one of my favorite dishes and Southern Flare did it right! I received two large, crispy chicken thighs on top of a giant waffle. It was the perfect balance of sweet and savory.
Southern Flare’s catfish is also delicious!
London Chippy didn’t disappoint with their fish and chips. The hush puppies were particularly good.
Kiki’s Creations served us frozen yogurt that was surprisingly good. We didn’t try the kikiyaki, primarily because our cups and cones came with two free toppings!
I took home a slice of red velvet cake from the Sweet Bakehouse. It was huge! I was unable to finish it alone. The cream cheese frosting (my favorite) was on point!
I recommend visiting Epiq Food Hall if you’d like to try something new or are looking for an old favorite done well. We’ll definitely be back!
