When I picked up six mini balls of yarn for last week’s yarn tasting, I wasn’t sure what to make with them. They came with a pattern: a cowl with a high neckline. I don’t like the feel of anything close to my neck and opt for looser cowls.

I had been wanting to create something with broken seed stitch, a stitch that is simple to execute with a stunning result, and figured this was the best place to try it out!

My goal was to make something interesting that showcased each yarn’s unique qualities. Pairing the yarns created contrast and helped the individual qualities shine!
