Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew (and the 50th Anniversary Donut!)

Everglazed Donuts serves giant, decadent, glazed donuts. I had to see if they were as delicious as they are beautiful!

This relatively new shop is located on the West Side of Disney Springs, in between AMC and Splitsville. It’s sort of in an alley, tucked back near the parking garage.

The shop is modern and cute with fun colors, heavy on blues and oranges. While Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew is found in a back corner, the kitchen isn’t! I didn’t even need to enter the shop to see the chefs making donuts in the glassed-in show kitchen.

Heading inside, I found the familiar donut shop setup. There were trays of sweets behind the register and baristas working on hand-crafted drinks to the side. We didn’t have to wait; our donuts were hand-packed by the cashier and handed to us immediately. It’s an efficient setup for sure.

The Donuts

We chose three Everglazed donuts: the Cookies & Cream Donut, the Strawberry Deluxe Donut, and the 50th Anniversary Celebration Donut. I’m a huge fan of donuts (both yeast and cake) and couldn’t wait to try them all!

The Cookies & Cream Donut

The Cookies & Cream is a staple of the Everglazed Donuts menu. It is iced with vanilla frosting and topped with cookie crumbles, plus one whole Oreo cookie!

Our entire family enjoyed this donut. I liked that the cookies gave some structure to the donut, as yeast donuts sort of deflate when you bite them. The flavors were also spot-on; the vanilla was in perfect balance with the crumbled cookies.

The Strawberry Deluxe Donut

The Strawberry Deluxe is a seasonal donut. It is topped with pointy dollops of strawberry frosting and diced fresh strawberries, then drizzled with vanilla frosting. It’s a filled donut and the center is stuffed with strawberry jam.

This donut is delicious! I’m not crazy about strawberries and still enjoyed it. My husband, who is crazy about strawberries, felt like they did it right. However be forewarned that this donut is sweet. It is by far the sweetest of all the treats we tried and it was difficult to finish without a palate cleanser! Skip it if you have sensitive teeth.

The 50th Anniversary Celebration Donut

The 50th Anniversary Celebration Donut is a limited edition donut. It is a glazed donut topped with vanilla frosting and a generous amount of sprinkles, nonpareils, and plump, round balls of candied chocolate that looked like more sprinkles. It was topped with a dollop of vanilla frosting and an edible medallion that read, “50 Sweet!”

I felt like this elegant donut with simple flavors was executed perfectly. The sprinkles added texture and crunch and were my favorite part! I’d say you can toss the medallion, though. It looked nice, but didn’t really have any flavor.

The medallion also got flattened by the lid. The cashier let me know this would happen and asked if I wanted to take a photo before closing it. I thought this was very considerate!

I really hope some version of this donut sticks around when the 50th anniversary celebration ends.

The Drinks

Everglazed offers several unique hand-crafted coffees and drinks, the most intriguing of which are its flavored milks. They offer chocolate, strawberry, Fruity Pebbles, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch milks. I’m told the latter two taste like the milk leftover in the bowl after devouring a bowl of cereal, but I didn’t try them. (I’m sorry, but I just don’t like milk!)

Have you tried Everglazed Donuts or one of these Milky Way drinks?
