Join the Knit for Food Knit-a-thon!

On Sunday, April 11, 2021, I’ll be taking part in the Knit for Food Knit-a-thon! Won’t you join me?

What is the Knit for Food Knit-a-thon?

The Knit for Food Knit-a-thon is a 12-hour knitting marathon designed to raise funds for and awareness of food insecurity in the United States. Knitters (plus crocheters and other stitchers and crafters) commit to 12 hours of knitting.

The funds raised for the Knit-a-thon will be split evenly between four charities:

The Knit for Food Knit-a-thon was created by Laura Nelkin of Nelkin Designs.

The Knit for Food Knit-a-thon was partially inspired by a Gilmore Girls episode called “Knit, People, Knit” (season 7, episode 9). In the episode, the town of Stars Hollow holds a knit-a-thon to save the Old Muddy River Bridge. Though it aired several years ago, you can still find Gilmore Girls on Netflix.
