About Traveling Vine Stitch
Yes, it’s another vine! Traveling Vine Stitch is a winding stitch that adds allover texture and a touch of breathability to fabrics. This stitch is lovely on knitted garments, but I’m enjoying it on this blanket.
I used 191 yards (172 meters) of yarn to complete this panel.
This pattern was adapted from 50 Fabulous Knit Stitches by Rita Weiss.
Abbreviations

Notes
Odd rows of this pattern increase the stitch count by 8 per row (1 per repeat). To help you stay on track, these are included in the stitch count at the end of each row (even though the stitch count returns to 66 on the following row when the yarn overs are worked).
The wrong side of this pattern includes repeats of 7 purled stitches and then 2 stitches purled together or purled together through the back loops. Be mindful of whether or not you are working a p2tog or p2tog tbl to ensure you are getting the correct slant on these stitches!
I found it very easy to get lost in this stitch. Consider using highlighter tape to keep track of your progress on the printed instructions.

For General Use
I added 1 row to this pattern so that we could use it in the Winter Stitch Sampler Knit Along. If you wish to use this stitch pattern in a different project, use the instructions below, which have not been modified.
