If you are ever anywhere near Purcellville, you absolutely must visit this shop! I’m in Northern Virginia and Purcellville is a bit of a hike for me, too. It’s worth it!
The first thing I noticed was that this shop is warm and cozy. It has a very homey vibe, in part because it actually is in a home! Details like stained glass windows and intricate woodworking detail on the staircase add to the ambiance.
As you can see, the furniture is also beautiful… if you can take your eyes off of the loom, that is.
Each room in this shop also featured several handmade items. I couldn’t help snapping a photo of this coin purse, which seems to capture the fun, beautiful, and timeless feel of this shop better than my words can.
The staff of the shop is just as warm as the atmosphere. I found them to be friendly and helpful. They were genuinely happy that we were there! The most adorable puppy was also “working” there during our visit. He followed us around a bit and permitted a few quick pets.
Two Rivers Yarns is clearly stuffed to the gills with yarn! I had trouble choosing between all of the options.
I finally settled on some Fox Yarn t-shirt yarn, an option I don’t frequently see at local yarn shops. I always want to try something new and this yarn seemed perfect for my next crochet project. I chose the beige cakes on this shelf.
