About Wildflower Knot Stitch
Wildflower Knot Stitch is a bed of Stockinette stitch with dainty lotus-like flowers.
This stitch pattern is subtle and casual, but delicate. It’s a subtle and beautiful allover stitch that looks as good upside down as it does right-side up.
I used 185 yards (169 meters) of yarn to complete this panel.
This stitch pattern was adapted from A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns by Barbara Walker.
Abbreviations
BO – bind off
CO – cast on
k – knit
k2tog – knit 2 stitches together; single right-leaning decrease
p – purl
p3tog – purl 3 together; double decrease
st(s) – stitch(es)
yo – yarn over
Notes
This stitch is worked on a background of Stockinette Stitch. I’ve added a single knit stitch at the ends of the purled rows to help with curling, though you’ll still need a fair amount of blocking on this one!
The video is especially helpful for this stitch!
