The 2022 Hobbii Advent Calendar for Knitters
This year, Hobbii yarn released two separate advent calendars: one for knitters and one for crocheters. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the Hobbii Yarn Advent Calendar for Knitters, which promised 4 weeks of treasures in 4 separate boxes.
Clearly I didn’t wait for the holiday season because I’ve already opened all of mine! I’m here to share the contents with you.
About the Hobbii Yarn Advent Calendar
Whether you’re a knitter or crocheter, the Hobbii Yarn Advent Calendar retails for $119 USD. The purchase price meets the minimum sale for free shipping, too! Even though the package needed to cross the pond, it was delivered it in just over a week. Express shipping options are also available.
The Hobbii Yarn Advent Calendar is not suitable for people who are sensitive to wool.
The listing for the advent calendar also noted that knitters should have their 3.5mm and 4.0mm double pointed needles and 5.0mm circular needles ready, no doubt for working the patterns that will accompany the yarn and notions each week.
What’s in the boxes?
Caution: major spoilers ahead! Only continue reading if you are interested in finding out what is in each of the boxes.
Ready to go? Watch the full unboxing video here! Details for each week are listed below.
I’m still waiting for is Hobbii to publish the patterns that go with the boxes, but I’m having quite a lot of fun guessing at what they may be!

The pattern for this box, released on December 9, was a pair of mittens called Kogle. I thought for sure we’d be knitting a teddy bear! The crochet pattern, Ordesa, works up to be a very similar pair of mittens.

The Week 4 box contains alpaca yarns, stitch markers, finishing needles, cedar blocks, and a blank notebook.
1 skein of Alpaca Blaze in 4 Nougat ($8.30 retail)
